Difficult Decisions
They say 'it's not about the winning, it's about the taking
part.'
Actually, it's usually losers that they say that to, in-order
to try and console them. However, task-winner Alex was probably
feeling that he would rather have 'just taken part' as soon
as he found-out the implications of his win tonight.
While Jonny had resigned himself to yet another week as a
pauper, Alex (claimed that he) thought his victory would simply
ensure his entry to the rich side of the house. He believed
that the other 6 housemates would choose between themselves,
which side they would spend the next week on.
However, with the whole group sat around the lounge area,
Big Brother asked Alex to name the first person he would like
to join him as a richie. He was visibly shocked and distraught
at the concept that, for the second week in a row, he
would be responsible for the lifestyle of certain housemates.
After a lot of deliberation, he named his first choice: it
was PJ. This showed a compassionate side to Alex, in-that
he'd acknowledged just how much PJ would appreciated being
rescued from a third week of pauperdom.
It was a fantastic thing to do, given that the model was
closer to other housemates and the Brummie law man had thrown
a wobbler at Alex for not choosing him last week. Alex didn't
need to do it, but he did.
Making alternate choices, Jonny's first choice was Sophie,
then Tim, then lastly Kate. Again, his first two were fantastic
choices and he was obviously just making sure that Sophie
and Tim experienced life on the poor side of the house. Nice
one Jonny!
So, the richies are: Alex, PJ, Adele and Jade. The paupers
are: Jonny, Sophie, Tim and Kate. After this week, all 8 remaining
housemates will have experienced life on both sides of the
divide.
How will Tim and Sophie cope? Keep it here to find out.
