Spencer: The Big Interview
No surprises that evicted Spencer has faced the mighty Davina
interview with his usual dismissive panache.
The cool customer looked unfazed by the flashing lights and
screaming crowd to face the questions in front of friends
and family.
The first subject matter was unsurprisingly Spencer's reaction
to being evicted.
"I'm a little bit surprised," the usually unruffled
housemate admitted. "I couldn't think of anything I did
wrong."
Speaking about his fellow nominee, Alex, the Cambridge boy
surprised many by saying: "I quite liked the guy".
This was despite their heated confrontation after the model
was caught pinching Kate's blanket back in week 02.
While being shown the Diary Room clips of his nominators
- Adele, Alex, Jonny and Sophie - Spencer reaffirmed he thought
the Country Durham fireman was a "cheat" during
the live basketball task that first divided the House. Jonny
had stepped on the line, rather than behind it, which Spencer
viewed as contrary to the rules of the task.
The next set of video clips played to the latest evictee
focused on a bitchy conversation between Jade and Alex, with
Davina suggesting the mouth of Bermondsey might be playing
each housemate off each other.
"Is she cleverer than we all think?" asked Davina.
"No," was the simple response.
On the contentious topic of hygiene, Spencer was adamant
regarding his own levels of cleanliness despite continued
doubts from his ex-housemates.
"I showered every day," he firmly announced.
And finally came the line of questioning the baying audience
had been waiting for - the topic of love.
"Did you fancy Kate?" asked Davina.
After cheekily enquiring about her marital status, Spencer
finally put the world out of its misery.
"I liked Kate. I probably wouldn't use the word 'fancy',"
Spencer finalised.
With that, the good-looking evictee went out to greet the
myriad of admirers standing outside with banners and messages
of goodwill.
It's been quite an experience.
