Injected With Enthusiasm

Last week Adele and comically, Jade, were the resident would-be vets. However this week, they've gone from mucking-out chickens, to eating them on the rich side of the house... not the actual house ones though!

So, the veterinary duties have now fallen to Kate and Jonny, who have today been tending to the faltering fowl.

Donning some huge rubber gloves, Jonny enthusiastically took to the coop to catch Goldy, Nugget, Cole Boy, Betty, Big Red and Scabby in turn, allowing assistant Kate to administer their jabs.

The chucks even seemed to be enjoying the attention, with the exception of Cole Boy, who looked nervously at the make-shift vets. So, Jonny swept her up from behind and the deed was swiftly done. Sorted.

Chuffed with their work, a beaming Jonny announced as he exited the coop, "Lasses! 'Til the next time - goodbye!"

The pair had taken to their duties 'like ducks to water.' But then again, they've both had a stint of living with animals... we're saying nothing <cough> Spencer!
