Dinner Is Served

Squeals of delight greeted the arrival of the weekly shopping as Jade, Adele and Alex luxuriated in their new status as residents of the House's rich side.

Jade and Adele, closely followed by Sophie, scampered to the storeroom and collected the goodies they ordered on Sunday.

Two trolley loads awaited the excited housemates but youngster Jade, who'd been having her own foodie-type fantasies, only wanted one thing.

"Where's the salmon and the cream cheese?" she demanded before scuttling off to make her fellow rich group members a filled-bagel feast.

As Alex, Tim and Sophie unpacked staples like eggs, milk, cabbage, porridge oats, and goodies including bottled beer, ice cream and wine, Adele got concerned about her own dietary requirements and was adamant to stick to her restricted diet as a competitive body-builder.

She insisted on bagging the cottage cheese and porridge oats for herself but not before sneaking a few spoonfuls of chocolate cookie icecream. Sophie didn't seem convinced at Adele's choice of cheese. "It's like curdled yoghurt," she said.

Newcomer Tim also took at look at the strange foodstuff. "What is it?" "It's for my diet," she explained.

Alex was more interested in stocking up on other necessities. "There's washing up liquid too," he added to the excited chorus.

But the choice of non-sparkling water didn't go down quite so well. "I wanted sparkling," the male model moaned. But, as if remembering his week in dietary hell he quickly reassured Sophie. "I'll drink it like this."

PJ, faced with spending his second week in the poor house, could only watch from the other side as the other housemates tucked into a lunch-time feast. We may be mistaken but the Brummie appeared to wipe a tear away from his cheek.
