Washing Machine

Before they hit the sack last night, the poor team decided they would get up extra-early today in order to wash their dirty bed linen.
Big Brother has demanded that the smelly sheets are cleaned in preparation for whoever happens to be sleeping in the poor 'grotto' for the next seven days following tonight's live task.

And, true to their word, Adele and Co. were up and scrubbing away while the rich team were still deep asleep.

PJ and Spencer groaned as they dragged themselves from their beds and Alex, who has been in a cheery mood of late, also emitted a grumble or two.

Even though Adele had generously offered to clean all of the contestants' sheets, the Essex boy didn't look as happy as the others to take her up on the offer. He seemed to labour under the strange belief that if he washed his own bed covers, they would dry more quickly!

"What time is it now?" asked Adele patiently before answering her own question, "9(am). And what time's the task? 10(pm). I'm sure they'll be dry by then... and they're going to dry exactly the same whether we do them one by one or do them all at the same time!"

By the look on Alex's face, he still wasn't sure. "Oh Alex," came Adele's quick comeback, "do your own then!"

But although the Southport lass got the work underway, it was ultimately left to PJ and Spencer to do the hard work. Wringing out the sopping sheets, a dozy and disgruntled Spencer mumbled over the mangle, "There's no point being alive."
