Sandy's Send-Off Party

Big Scot Sandy may have snubbed the house, but his fellow housemates gave him a rousing send-off party last night.

The impromptu party began at around 11.00pm, after Sandy had dropped his bombshell on the group. Everyone except Lee and Sophie was over near the dining room table when Sandy started getting a mischievous streak.

Egged-on by Spencer, the defiant Scot passed food and drink through the bars, safe in the knowledge that Big Bro couldn't punish him as he was leaving anyway.

Wine and crisps were duly consumed by the paupers and just as Alex was looking concerned and Adele predicted that they'd be banned from watching the footie, PJ was called to the diary room. Oops!

He returned soon after to tell his fellow paupers that they would have to hand the contraband back, but then surprised everyone by announcing that Big Bro was supplying some refreshments to celebrate Sandy's last night.

Just like Sunita on her last night, Sandy really seemed to let his hair down and was the most animated and happy he's ever been in the house. The fact that he was drinking alcohol certainly helped!

Some serious conversation ensued whereby Sandy stated that it was, "Cool that Big Brother gave him the chance," referring to his age. He also discussed how he was reluctant to be the father figure and detailed how he'd become bored. "I enjoyed the experience for a time, but if it gets boring, it's time to leave," he said.

There was also talk about how he thought everything was 'false' in the house and, being even more honest than normal, Sandy re-iterated at one stage that he didn't like Jonny and Alison.

This prompted Jonny to chat to him for a good 20 minutes alone, with the fireman stating, "I just wanted you to come and sit next to me (once) and chat." Sandy had previously shown little interest in the Geordie, but he did concede tonight that he had respect for Jonny's job.

At one point, normally sullen Sandy even admitted to 'starting to like' the Geordie joker and the conversation culminated in Sandy pouring Jonny a drink, with which he made a kind-of toast to the future.

Talking to confidante Alex out in the garden, the personal shopper proudly boasted, "I was very popular, wasn't I?" However his suggestion that he could probably win it may have been a little wide of the mark. He stated that 'jacking it all in was, "The hardest thing that I've done in my life."

Back inside, Sandy told how he was a bit sad to be going and said that he had enjoyed himself. He was chuffed that his leaving seemed to have brought the group back together and about his last night, he said, "We've had a few drinks, it's been such had a good night."

The frivolity continued until past 4am when, in the presence of everyone except Adele, Lee and Sophie, Sandy began telling a surreal 'lesbian' version of Goldilocks. Yep, he was pi**ed alright! He had earlier confessed to seeing 'six Spencer's and twenty-four PJ's' due to the drink.

He turned in for the night at around 4.20am, a full 5 hours later than usual, leaving many of the housemates still partying into the night.
