The House Reacts To Nominations
Lee and Jonny's nominations have come as a huge surprise
to some, but for those who have been keeping an eye on events
in the House over the last week, it is less of a shock.
The nominees themselves seemed to take it in their stride.
"I had a feeling," Jonny told Lee afterwards. "I
don't feel as though I've done anything wrong, but it's just
whether you still fit into the equation."
"I'm cool," Lee replied, "It's a game of dejection.
I kind of want to go home. And to be honest, you couldn't
be up against a tougher guy than you. I think I'm going on
Friday."
But Jonny couldn't resist a snipe as he gazed through the
House divide. "There's one thing: the evictee will be
from rich side, not over there."
Since Sophie's arrival nine days ago, Lee has shifted his
attentions to her rather than Adele, a fact that has not gone
unnoticed by some. Furthermore, his apparent lack of loyalty
to his girlfriend outside the House has also shocked others.
For his part, Jonny has been incredibly quiet since his bubbly
soul mate and friend Alison was evicted last Friday. He has
since admitted he misses both her and his family.
The Geordie's introspection might have something to do with
Alison's departure, but it could also be that several of the
housemates consider themselves above him. He and Kate have
often incurred the wrath of some housemates for their never-ending
banal chit-chat.
While Alex has built bridges on the poor side of the House
with PJ and Spencer thanks to the 'Blitz Spirit' that has
emerged there, Jonny does not seem so at ease on the rich
side of the House.
In a game where it is not always easy to find a decent personal
reason to nominate another housemate, the small things often
assume greater significance and that could have been a factor
with this week's nominations.
