The tensions of the past few days seem to have been resolved as Alex and Jonny sat on the sofas chatting into the early hours.

Alex, who's not normally one for staying awake past midnight, admitted at almost 2am, "I'm usually in bed by now."

The male model, with fellow ally Sandy, has been noticeably distancing himself from the rest of the group over the past few days, but since the nomination results were announced, the 22-year-old has come out of his shell, and he chatted away to Sophie, Lee and Jonny in the lounge.

On the subject of Sunita's recent departure and whether anybody else might walk, Alex commented, "I was pretty close." As the bonding continued, Jonny agreed, saying, "I was. I definitely felt like walking."

Things must be looking up for in-house relations because all the boys except Spencer slept back in their own room, affectionately known as 'the grotto'.

But on the subject of budding friendships, Alex had a few words for Sophie before he went to bed, saying to the brunette, "You can always try our place out, Sophie, there's a spare bed."

Sophie declined, but Alex seems more relaxed now the tensions between him and firefighter Jonny have been resolved.
