In fact, the whole experience of spending £400 on food and refreshments passed off without noticeable incident - that's if you discount Jade getting upset in the bathroom over a comment made by Alex.

After passing last night's live task, an entertainment quiz, the tense gang managed to organise themselves impressively.

The team made good use of their bounty, buying over a kilogram of meat. And it would have been more if health-conscious Adele had not put a premature end to the expense by telling Alison, "That's way enough meat."

With the shopping list returned to its rightful place in the Diary Room, the housemates went back to their own pursuits.
