Intruder Alert - Exclusive

Following-on from the 'nutter who jumped the railings at Friday night's eviction of Lynne, the house has now had a full-blown intruder.

Last night, PJ, Jade, Kate, Spencer and Jonny decided to kip out on the patio under the stars. Big Brother had given permission to take the mattresses outside for their camping adventure.

However, after they'd nodded off by around 3.45am, a mysterious figure suddenly burst into the garden carrying a large England flag on a pole.

The startled contestants were immediately told to move to the bedroom, whilst the intruder planted his flag pole in the turf then just stood there. He made no attempt to come near them.

Security guards soon escorted the muddy-faced male off the premises, however Spencer was more than a little suspect of the whole event.

Talking about it later in the bedroom he said, "The security (guys) just jogged 'round. And he (intruder) put up no fight whatsoever...he didn't even say anything." Clearly, Spence' was wondering whether it was some kind of publicity stunt on behalf of Channel 4.

His fellow housemates were more concerned about how their parents would react and hoped that the news would not get out to the press.

Jonny, who looked the intruder in the eye, couldn't believe that someone had managed to get in. Concerned, he went as far as to suggest that the guy's flag could have been a more dangerous weapon, adding, "That's not worth 15 minutes of fame."

PJ was also angry, stating that the production team have had two series already to get things right. This prompted Spencer to suggest that they should arrange their own 'security watch' between them. Clearly, however, they shouldn't have to.

The five housemates sobered-up pretty smartish and Spencer seemed to be laughing-off the incident by saying, "That dude's got some balls to go for it. What a crack!"

Further to his 'publicity stunt' theory, he then speculated that the intruder was probably paid to do it by a tabloid newspaper. However, surely not one would attempt a stunt so potentially dangerous and shocking?

Security, which had supposedly already been beefed-up, will now need to be seriously reviewed as Channel 4 try to keep a lid on this worrying slip-up.
