Voting - Don't Be Hasty!
Today is 'crunch time' for one unsuspecting contestant and
there's just a matter of hours remaining for us to decide
who we want to get rid of. Even then however, it's certainly
not guaranteed...
We're referring to the fact that just this once, we the public
will nominate who we want out of the house but the housemates
have the final decision. This is a reversal of the normal
procedure and could make things more interesting.
Channel 4 should consider permanently changing to this 'one-off'
way of working things, as it could help to keep the show more
lively. Just think about it: we can all see the back-biting
and bitching going on, but the contestants don't necessarily
see it.
We made the mistake last year of voting out controversial
characters early. Penny, Stuart, Narinder , Amma all spring
to mind and we kept the more staid Dean and Betty in until
the last week.
However, it's the former kind of people that really keep you
on the edge of your seat. So here's the rub:
Despite being driven crazy by her 'full-on' gob at the beginning
of the series, we're rather warming to Jade now. She has
calmed down and we're prepared to give her enthusiasm the
benefit of the doubt due to her relative youth.
Our current poll, where over 20,000 people have voted so far,
indicates that if Sunita hadn't walked-out, it would-have
been her up for eviction with Jade.
However, according to recent conversations in the house, at
least a third of the housemates are fond of Jade and have
anticipated that we will love her too. This would seem to
suggest that they're not ready to lose her just yet.
If we here at BBO had to choose someone to go this week, it
would have to be Lynne. She didn't really register on the
BBO radar for the first few days and even when she did, she
started acting weird and snapping at people. Then again, the
feisty Scot could cause some rucks, so perhaps she should
stay?!
Hmm... the only other contestant that we wouldn't mind losing
at the moment is PJ. He's an okay guy, but his continual talk
(and that's all it is we feel) of sex, is getting tedious
already.
So, we're appealing to the 'last minute voters' to give young
Jade a break and instead, consider voting someone else who
deserves to go more. Just stick-in 'yer earplugs and stick
with her for now!
You have until 8pm tonight, the 31st of May, to place your
vote. For the voting telephone numbers, please click here.
