Bubble and Dean Release World Cup Song

In a bid to rekindle their 15 minutes of fame, BB2's Dean and Bubble release their World Cup song today, even though there's been little recognition from the media so far.

Titled Standing Tall, the 'original' song was co-written by the lads and was recorded in Dean's home town of Brum, in the studios of UB40 (Who? Teenagers, ask your parents.)

The surprisingly catchy effort will go up against the likes of Ant and Dec's 'Official' anthem We're On The Ball; but in that company, it deserves to do well!

We first heard the track last month during the final stages of mixing and to be honest, we were quite impressed. It starts with a guitar-driven intro and builds to a hook of, "Consider yourself, knocked out," adapted from the familiar Oliver song.

The CD features not only the song, but also a PC CD-ROM video of the pair performing it along with some of their friends and family posing as band members. And yes, Bubble does stick his tongue out in the video! Just once though.

Standing Tall is available in the shops from today, the 27th of May.
