No News Is Good News (for Channel 4)
Since details of the new house and start date were released,
'new' Big Brother 3 information has been a bit thin on the
ground. We know that things will be tougher this time
around. We know that the house looks absolutely fantastic
and we just know that we'll inevitably become hooked
on Big Brother again within the first few days!
With the series start-date confirmed, the subject that everyone
is now speculating over is: exactly who the twelve (un)lucky
blighters destined to have every element of their daily lives
scrutinised for up to 9 weeks, are? Well, frankly, nobody
knows.
When we say nobody knows, obviously the Top Brass at Channel
4 and Endemol do, but your mate Dave from down the pub almost
certainly doesn't actually know.
We've been rather amused lately by all the talk around the
'net along the lines of, "My friend's, Dad's, best mate's,
younger brother is DEFINITELY one of the 12 final contestants"
etc. We've seen it time and time again.
However, it is very unlikely that the identities of the final
12 candidates will slip out before the start of the show.
Unlike before, contestants will enter the house live
this year, so producers will be going to every length possible
to prevent people from blabbing.
This probably entails not telling the successful candidates
until the very last minute but by now, producers would definitely
have weeded-out anyone who they think can't keep their mouth
shut. Though of course, as fans, we want the people who simply
can't keep their mouth shut to be in the house, not
out of it!
So, if you know of someone that's "definitely"
going into the house, be sure to write in and tell us. Not!
Once the show gets started however, if you establish that
you do know one of the housemates, we'd love to hear
from you. And so would all the other fans over in our busy
Discussion Forum, due to re-open in the week running up to
the launch of BB3.
