The Latest "News" On Big Brother 3
You've been asking us for more information on Big Brother
Series-3 lately but frankly, 'the powers that be' are keeping
very tight-lipped about everything this year. Hence
the use of quotes around the word 'news' in the title of this
article; because a lot of what you will read elsewhere is
still pure speculation.
So here's the latest news according to the grapevine:
Big Brother is likely to be back on our screens on Friday
24th of May. We believe that Channel 4 intend to get the show
underway a week-or-two before the start of the World Cup.
It will be a 10-week run this time around, as opposed the
9-weeks of the previous two series.
A new Big Brother house has been purpose-built within the
grounds of Elstree studios in Hertfordshire. The two-storey
house is nearing completion and again features a hot tub and
apparently, new to this series, an outside loo! Rumours of
contrasting posh/pauper sections of the house are almost certainly
not true, but a 'love loft' is likely, in place of series-2's
garden den.
Despite allegedly hinting that she was tiring of the role
last year, Series 1 and 2 presenter Davina McCall will once
again return as the show's anchor on Channel 4. Dermot O'Leary
recently hinted that he will also return to host the coverage
on E4.
In contrast to reports elsewhere on the net, here at Big Brother
Online we find it unlikely that the contestant group has been
finalised just yet. However, it is fair to say that if you
haven't heard back regarding your application by now, you
never will!
The one piece of news that can be confirmed however,
is that the show has recently been commissioned by Channel
4 to run until 2005. This refutes all the previous speculation
that the third series would be the last and means that if
you didn't get accepted this year, there's always next time...
